Lala Nights: Ristorante Pia y Damaso

M, Anne, Vina and I went to Greenbelt 5 for Saturday's Lala Nights. We're so sad that Ferl, Ciege and L cannot be there. L was sick and the two had to attend to family matters.

After window shopping and rummaging through Adora, we then decided to try Ristorante Pia y Damaso. Their menu comprises of Spanish-Italian dishes with a Filipino Twist. The restaurant is located at the 3rd floor of Greenbelt 5.

The ambiance of Damaso is cozy with its perfect subdued lighting, we were seated at the reserved area, as we started to pick a course. I noticed the nice upholstery of the sofa, so i took a picture of it, as well as the chandelier gleaming above our table. These details add more aura to the place. It certainly brings a feel of opulence.

So we ordered our chosen delight, as the waiters become more gracious and nice. I would've taken snapshots of the menu but i forget, well, next time.

Anywho, it took like 30mins for the food to arrive. Quite standard waiting time for restaurants in Manila. So while waiting, we made chica galore.

Anne was the first to get her order, she got this Pork Capers plate with lemon and vegetables. Well, she did not like it at all. She said it was bland. She even requested soy sauce. Though, I did kind of liked it when i got a taste.

I ordered this Tinapa Pasta with Basil to share. We loved it, you should order this when you eat at Damaso. We recommend this dish.

M ordered this one. Ox tongue or Lengua Adobo. But it kind of tastes like Mechado. Though its super nice. We recommend you order this too, it also comes with rice.

Vina ordered this Chicken Pastel. She did not like her order. As with Anne, she thought it was bland and lacked flavor. I like the taste though, but the Chicken Pastel downer, i must say, is it being saturated with green peas.

I ordered this Pork Rolls to share and we all loved it. The sauce was like wasabi-soy sauce with Chili (kind of looks like puke though). It would just be ordinary pork rolls without that sauce. A must try.

Finally, I ordered Chicken in Sherry Pimento as my main course. We all loved it except for Vina, she said its too salty. I loved it though and the sauce is like Chili Asado.

And for dessert, we ordered this hazelnut cake to share. I just forgot the exact name of this cake, but we loved it. Its so chocolatey rich. This cake costs PHP 160.

Damaso offers big servings so we are all full at the end of our meal. Our bill with all charges amounted to PHP 2,300. It was all worth it for me and M, except for the two. Anne even had some spillage on the floor below. Here is the proof of her pigging out. haha...
