Climate Change is datchu?

I hate the rain. Everything just seems so gloomy and helpless, its as if the fates bequeath an ominous loom to queerkind.

Yet why is it raining anyway in midsummer? Are we already experiencing climate change? The lady in red with an orange umbrella told me so, as I gathered documents for the notary. She affirmed it to all of us small-talkers, "God is hating us, since He is changing our weather patterns", and I am beginning to believe her craziness. Al Gore could have very well proven his inconvenient truth.

Climate Change is datchu?!

American Idol 8: Adam Lambert

Adam Lambert is already embracing the make-up, and whatever the outcome of American Idol 8, I already feel that Adam Lambert has truly become a star in his own right. Our diva-sisterette-backlush outperforms all other contestants with his outrageous theatrics and stupendous vocals. I say again, Adam Lambert will win American Idol 8.

Did it come as a shocker to you Adam? Well, I know you know that you have already won.

Hear Him in this first part of of the medley. I love all the other performance as well, specifically Danny's and Chris', not because he is cute though. haha...

You know you love it!

Pasto Restaurant Eastwood

Spotted! My college friends and I ate at Pasto Resto at Eastwood. It was good! It's really hard core Italian food for the price that is just right. The pictures above show what we ordered. Aren't you hungry yet? They have specialties in tomato based, oil based, and cream based pastas. Among others, they also have salads, soups, and wine. Too bad I am not really a fan or carbo loading. Maybe Ferl will appreciate it more. Cheers!

L's Clutter part 2

Spotted! My clutter at the office. I will never learn
to clean up. Ferl, I need you to clean my desk.

Early Becky Gets the Notes

I was so early today for work, and that is rare for me. I really do not believe in the early bird gets the worm saying. But today, i am starting to believe it. Since this early becky, got the chance to get a hold of some early and big notes in Bonifacio High Street. So from now on, i will try my best to always be early. For more aura! Yay!

You know you love it!

Yesterday Nostalgia

Yesterday before work, I met up with L at the Kowloon House for some siomai breakfast. Nothin' much on the itinerary, just some chillax time and chikahan.

We then decided to visit M's home for some slight chika, we rummaged through M's things as she blow-dry her hair. T'was fun but M was in a hurry though, since her car is coding that day, and she has to be in the office by 7am lest she want to face the pulisisimas (traffic cops). So we made our beso's as L and I went to meet up with Ferl, the mameha...

It was an uneventful day, so we decided to do some business for Dela Rea. But since our attention span is just so short, we shifted to go to our Alma Mater first for some slight reminiscing before we head-out to do our canvassing.

When we got there, its like high-school all over again. I was perky, we are high with fun and we saw hotness all over. I was actually surprised that there were so many changes since the last time I saw the place. For one thing, there is a McDonald's kiosk in the area..

And there are so many other improvements, yet some things never change... Such as the green fields, where we usually stand by to gawk at the soccer varsity...

The lobby was the same, with this Madonna and Child piece, where we usually do some quick retouch post-slight haggardness due to the harsh sundra...

And even this notorious and historical C.R., where the lives of future beckies in our Alma Mater was forever changed courtesy of Mameha..

I just so miss high-school... Too bad we just cannot take photos of the boys while they play some Shirts vs Skins Soccer...

You know you miss it!

Portraits de chaussures-Histoires de pieds (Portraits of shoes-Stories of feet)

Events!

Alliance Française de Manille, Yuchengco Museum and the French Embassy in the Philippines with the support of Cultures France, Air France-KLM, Essilor and Sofitel Philippine Plaza present an exceptional exhibit curated by Yves Sabourin (The French curator came previously in the Philippines in 2006 for the successful exhibition Christian Lacroix Dialogues at Ayala Museum):

Portraits de chaussures–Histoires de pieds (Portraits of shoes–Stories of feet).

Portraits de chaussures–Histoires de pieds (Portraits of shoes–Stories of feet) is an exhibition of 62 pairs of shoes from the 18th to the 21st century from the Romans International Museum Collection and renowned French Fashion Houses Collections. This exhibition will take place from April 29 to June 20 at Yuchengco Museum

The exhibit freely recalls the history of shoes from the 17th to the 21st century beginning from its creation to its outline and how it came to be. It features dialogues between the old and the modern, between the knowhow bequeathed by past bootmakers and shoemakers and the creations of visual artists who have studied the subject. The selection of 62 pairs of shoes is proposed by Marie-Josephe Bossan-Picaud, Chief Curator of the Romans International Museum of the Shoe and its assistant Laurence Pissard. The Museum has one of the largest and most exceptional collections in the world. The selection proposed presents a landscape running through historical examples from the 18th century to ethnic, Turkish or African models as well as bootmakers like Roger Vivier and Raymond Massaro, with a small selection of crocheted and braided shoes.

The exhibition Portraits de chaussures–Histoires de pieds (Portraits of shoes–Stories of feet) will tour internationally:

The Philippines at Yuchenco Museum in Manille, April/May/June

Thailand at TDCD (Thailand Creative and Design Center) in Bangkok, July/August

South Korea at Sungkok Art Museum in Seoul, September/October

France at the International Shoe Museum in Romans, December/January

in 2010 in Russia in Saint-Petersbourg at the Russian Ethnology Museum

Exhibit at Musée des beaux-arts / Samara at Musée des beaux-arts / Moscow at Tsaritsyno Museum

Movies: Romantic Island

Filmed mostly in the Philippines' most sought after beach, Romantic Island the Movie takes inspiration from the romantic setting of Boracay Island. The film though is just another feel-good, romantic chic-flick, but it nonetheless inspire you that love and happiness is possible when you're half-naked, strolling with a margarita at hand, in the powder white sands of Boracay. See the cast after the jump...

Here is the cast as they enjoy the blue skies and the beach.

This guy is somewhat hot..

But Seon-Gyun Lee is hotter. This guy also appeared in my other favorite drama, Coffee Prince Shop No. 1.

I just love Mysoju!

Alas Boys Before Flowers!

Alas! After 2 days of watching Boys Before Flowers on mysoju, I have finally finished the series. I must say its a must see for the avid Korivela-addicts...

Now, I can focus on work without switching the mysoju tab on firefox. But surely, my addiction to the F4 Hotness is not yet over. They are just so cute!

Here is a screen shot as I streamed the series in full screen. Hopefully, my boss overlooks my unproductivity due to this transient korivela frenzy...

Gosh, the hotness of the characters, Gu Jun Pyo and Ji Hoo, is unstoppable... Stop Me!

Pura: Hi, I am Pura! And I am uber addicted to Korayners!
ALL: HI Pura!

Seafood Island Eastwood City

Spotted! Seafood Island’s boodles! This boodle has tilapia, shrimp, inihaw na baboy, clams, inihaw na squid, and rice. Yummy… We just ordered the one good for 4, but it seems it’s good for 7. If you are not really keen in eating on banana leaves, just get some plates… If you don’t, it’ll get kinda messy when everyone starts slobbering around the area.

FlapJack's Halo Halo

Spotted! Best halo halo. At Flapjacks, you will get the best halo halo! Why? Cause the use fresh fruits like mango, peach, banana, apple, melon and grapes instead of the usual pinoy stuff such as pinipig, nata de coco or beans. It also has ube and vanilla ice cream. Real jello is also used instead of gulaman. The regular size is good for 4. What more for the bigger size?

Teriyaki Boy's New Rolls

Spotted! Teriyaki Boy’s new Maki Rolls. It’s not dynamite roll in Omakase, but these will do… Yummy! Philadelphia roll, which has salmon and cream chesse… Teriyaki Boy Chicken Roll, and this vegetable maki which I forgot the name. I am just glad that Omakase now has a contender for Maki Rolls.

Green Tea Ice Cream

Ahhh, binge after working your ass off for a week. Love Red Kimono!
