Day 2 Beijing: Ming's Tomb

After the Great Wall of China experience and the fab lunch, the tour bus went ahead to go see Ming's Tomb. This tour is already included in the Great Wall package. It's really interesting how the ancient Chinese almost has the same view of the afterlife as that of the ancient Egyptians. The Chinese has built these impressive temples for their dead emperors - a complete replica of actual palaces but this time its underground. The craftsmanship is amazing!

Now before you exit the grounds, be sure dust off your clothes, jump 3 times before you step out into the other side of the large arch, and then you shout "Wo Hui Lai Le", which means I'm Back (back from the land of the dead to the living).

Be sure to also check out the museum after you check out the Tombs.

Its really an interesting experience to see Ming's Dynasty Tombs. But to be honest, we hoped that the Sacred Way to the Tombs was showcased first before this, as its a more pleasant experience after the arduous climb at the Great Wall.
